Itinerary Details

Day 1: Buenos Aires – The Gateway to Adventure
Begin your Antarctic journey with an overnight stay in vibrant Buenos Aires.

This dynamic city, home to the spirited porteños or ‘people of the port,’ blends European elegance with Latin flair. Wander through its lively streets, indulge in a classic Argentine steak at a local parrilla, or embrace the city’s passion by trying your hand at tango in its birthplace.

Day 2: Ushuaia – Embarking at the End of the World
An early morning flight takes you to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina, where your expedition truly begins.

Nestled against the stunning Martial Glacier, this bustling port city is the gateway to Antarctica. Here, you’ll board your hybrid-powered expedition ship, built for sustainable polar exploration. After a briefing from the Expedition Team, take time to settle into your cabin and explore the ship’s amenities before setting sail.

Days 3 & 4: Crossing the Drake Passage
Over the next two days, you’ll navigate the legendary Drake Passage, a rite of passage for Antarctic explorers.

While at sea, the Expedition Team will prepare you for the adventure ahead through engaging lectures on Antarctica’s history, wildlife, and environmental conservation. Visit the onboard Science Center to learn about ongoing research projects, or take part in Citizen Science initiatives.

Between sessions, unwind in the spa, savour delicious cuisine, and connect with fellow travellers in the Explorer Lounge & Bar.

Days 5 to 9: The Wonders of Antarctica
Your first glimpse of Antarctica’s vast, icy expanse is an unforgettable moment.

Towering glaciers and cathedral-sized icebergs create a surreal landscape of breathtaking beauty. In this remote wilderness, nature reigns supreme. The silence is profound, punctuated only by the calls of seabirds, the splash of whales, or the playful antics of penguins.

Depending on the season, you may witness the arrival of whales in December and January or the hatching of adorable penguin chicks. By February and March, peak whale-watching season begins as these majestic creatures follow the krill-rich waters.

Each day, the Expedition Team will lead landings and ice cruises, with opportunities for kayaking among icebergs. Every experience is shaped by the ever-changing Antarctic conditions, ensuring each moment is unique.

Onboard, lectures continue, deepening your understanding of this frozen world. Over five awe-inspiring days, you’ll collect memories that will last a lifetime.

Days 10 & 11: Returning North via the Drake Passage
As you journey back across the Drake Passage, take time to reflect on the extraordinary experiences of the past days.

Relive the magic by sorting through your photos, journaling your favorite moments, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the ocean. For ultimate relaxation, visit the wellness area for a soothing sauna or a rejuvenating spa treatment.

Day 12: From Ushuaia to Buenos Aires – Journey’s End
Arriving in Ushuaia, you’ll disembark and board your return flight to Buenos Aires.

While your expedition cruise may be over, your adventure doesn’t have to end here. Whether extending your stay or heading home, you’ll carry with you the unforgettable spirit of Antarctica.
