Itinerary Details

Day 1: Barcelona
It's no surprise that Barcelona is Spain's most popular destination. As the capital of Catalonia, the city presents a vibrant blend of history and culture, featuring sun-kissed beaches, innovative architecture, and a renowned culinary scene. Antoni Gaudí’s modernist influence can be seen throughout the city, alongside medieval treasures in the historic Gothic Quarter. Wander through the whimsical gardens of Park Güell or join a Catalan cooking class led by a local chef. Explore art collections dedicated to Picasso and Miró, or take a cable car ride up Montjuïc Hill for breathtaking panoramic views.

Day 2: Palma de Mallorca
Mallorca is known for its stunning mountains and dramatic cliffs overlooking crystal-clear waters, with Palma de Mallorca as its charming capital. Explore the unique Palma Cathedral, where the 14th-century Gothic exterior contrasts with Gaudí’s modernist interior. Visit the circular courtyard and Arab-inspired arches of Castell de Bellver, surrounded by fragrant pine forests. Alternatively, rent bikes and ride to Palma Beach, where you can relax on the soft sands and enjoy the refreshing waves.

Day 3: Provence (Marseille)
As France's oldest city, Marseille combines ancient allure with Provençal beauty. Start your day at the bustling Quai des Belges fish market, where commerce has thrived for over 2,600 years. Stroll along the promenades, stopping for café au lait and melon tart at a cozy café. Visit the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, a neo-Byzantine marvel with a golden statue of the Virgin and Child overlooking the city. Discover modern architecture and Mediterranean cultural artifacts at the MuCEM art museum, or explore the stunning limestone cliffs of Calanques National Park, just a short drive away.

Day 4: Florence/Pisa
La Spezia, a northern Italian port city bordering Liguria and Tuscany, serves as the perfect gateway to Pisa and Florence. A quick hour-long trip takes you to Pisa, where you can admire the iconic Leaning Tower and the beautiful Pisa Cathedral. Alternatively, head to Florence, just two hours away by train. Climb the famed Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore for spectacular 360-degree views, then wander through the San Lorenzo market with an espresso in hand, savouring the aromas of local spices and truffles as you people-watch.

Day 5: Civitavecchia (Rome)
With a rich history spanning 28 centuries, Rome offers unparalleled adventures. The city that once housed the world’s largest empire is vibrant today, filled with ancient ruins, iconic art, and lively street culture. Experience 'la dolce vita' as you enjoy delicious pasta in a trattoria. Take a ride past historic basilicas in a three-wheeled Ape Calessino or admire masterpieces at Villa Borghese. From the spiritual draw of Vatican City to the charming streets of Trastevere and the majestic Colosseum, the Eternal City promises endless exploration.

Day 6: Naples/Capri
Dominated by the imposing Mount Vesuvius, Naples is a vibrant Italian city rich in beauty. Explore neoclassical architecture at Gesu Nuovo Church, adorned with intricate frescoes and gold accents. Dive into history at the San Gennaro catacombs, where the city’s early bishops were laid to rest. Stroll along the Miglio Sacro ("Holy Mile"), soaking up the lively atmosphere of the Sanità district with a zuccherato (sweetened espresso) in hand. Board a cruise from Naples and take a short bus ride to Mount Vesuvius, where a moderate 20- to 30-minute hike leads to the summit, followed by a tour of the ancient ruins of Pompeii.

Day 7: Cruising at Sea
