Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arrival in Amsterdam
Arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. If your cruise package includes a group arrival transfer or you have arranged a private transfer, a Uniworld representative will greet you and escort you to the ship.

Day 2: Cologne
History enthusiasts will appreciate a guided tour of Cologne’s Old Town, where three medieval gates and the old city hall with its Renaissance façade still stand. Stroll through the historical center, enjoying its charming atmosphere, narrow alleyways lined with old houses, and numerous breweries. You'll have plenty of free time to explore on your own. This evening, enjoy a special Captain’s Welcome Reception and Dinner.

Day 3: Koblenz
Discover Koblenz, a historic town rich in colourful history and eclectic architecture, and visit the stunningly medieval Marksburg Castle.

Day 4: Rüdesheim
Experience the enchanting Rhine River in beautiful Rüdesheim. Enjoy a private tasting of estate-grown Rieslings at Castle Vollrads, or explore Rüdesheim and the impressive Niederwald monument.

Day 5: Speyer
Speyer—translated as "spire" in English—is aptly named, as the four red towers of the Romanesque cathedral dominate the Old Town.

Day 6: Strasbourg
Explore Strasbourg on foot with a knowledgeable local expert. This historic town, with its cobbled lanes, half-timbered houses, towering stork nests, and tempting pastry shops, is sure to capture your heart. Your ship will be docked in Kehl, directly across the river from Strasbourg. For the adventurous, take advantage of Uniworld’s bicycles or Nordic walking sticks to explore the riverbanks. You’ll have the entire afternoon to discover more of Strasbourg at your leisure.

Day 7: Breisach
Breisach serves as your gateway to the Alsatian wine route and your starting point for an excursion along the celebrated Route des Vins, which winds through the foothills of the Vosges mountain range. This evening, enjoy a special Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner.

Day 8: Basel
Disembark the ship. If your cruise package includes a group departure transfer or you’ve purchased a private transfer, you’ll be taken to EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg for your flight home (unless, of course, you’ve chosen to extend your trip with a post-cruise stay in beautiful Lake Lucerne).
