Back in 2013, two seasoned (and undeniably good-looking) travel industry veterans, Andrew Parke and Stuart McKay, decided to break free from the traditional mould. They dreamed of a career that offered freedom, famils, and financial success, combined with the flexibility to balance family, sport, or even more travel. When they couldn’t find the perfect model, they did what great travel agents do—they created their own journey.

Enter Fuzion Travel.

Andrew and Stuart built something truly unique—a hybrid model that blends the best of bricks-and-mortar with the freedom of a broker network. Their vision was to create a boutique agency where travel professionals could enjoy independence, flexibility, and the support of a fun, growth-focused team.

With over 45 years of combined experience, Andrew and Stuart knew exactly what Affiliates needed to thrive.

 
Andrew Parke

Andrew’s 20+ years in the travel industry started humbly at Budget Travel Lynnmall. He’s been part of every major industry shift since, including the early days of Travel Online, one of New Zealand’s first internet-based travel companies. From there, Andrew spent 13 years with Flight Centre, starting as a consultant in Dunedin and rising through the ranks to become Area Manager, overseeing 18 stores across West Auckland and the central North Island.

What made Andrew stand out was his knack for developing people. He took pride in helping his team succeed, whether it was growing their businesses or providing clear, focused direction to drive results.

Andrew loves how the travel industry keeps evolving, and together with Stuart, he recognised there was a gap for a model that rewards hard-working travel professionals while keeping the sense of team spirit alive. Fuzion was their answer—a place where Affiliates could enjoy both flexibility and support, with the freedom to run their businesses their way.

 
Stuart McKay

Stuart’s love for travel started with what turned into a 14-year OE. His career began with Alamo Car Rental in the UK before he joined Flight Centre Ltd in Australia, eventually taking him to the USA for two-and-a-half years. When Stuart returned to New Zealand, he brought his global experience to various roles at Flight Centre NZ and built strong relationships with major industry suppliers.

On top of his sales expertise, Stuart is a qualified chartered accountant who handles the financial side of Fuzion Travel. From balancing the books to managing the day-to-day operations, Stuart ensures the business runs smoothly for every Affiliate. His combination of financial know-how and passion for the travel industry makes him the perfect co-captain for Fuzion.

Today, Fuzion operates out of its Auckland office, supporting a growing network of Affiliates across New Zealand. Affiliates have the freedom to work their way—whether remotely or by dropping into the supportive team environment at the Fuzion office.

Fast forward to today, Fuzion has grown into one of the top-performing World Travellers stores, with ambitious plans for the future. While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved, this is just the beginning—our success is only the tip of the iceberg.
