…having a real passion for travel and by visiting about 52 countries via many travel styles - back packing, trains, bus, tours, cruising, and experiencing all accommodation styles from hostels and camping to 5 star accommodation. I love getting to know the people and their culture and of course, having a go at the local language is always a must!

My best travelling experience is...

…going to a new place or experiencing a new culture and learning something new. I love both the relaxing beach holiday and the busy adventure holiday - the choice just depends on what I need at that particular time.

I never travel without...

…ensuring that my passport and money are safe with me or in a hotel safe.

My favourite client story is...

...I have so many stories that it's hard to choose just one, but one that does stand out is when a longtime client wanted to surprise her husband with a trip to Norfolk Island for his 60th. Just prior to their departure, they were out for dinner when her husband declared that he would never want to go to Norfolk Island! Understandably, she contacted me pretty quickly and although we discussed changing the destination, I knew the couple well and was sure that he would like it once they got there so we stuck with it. When he discovered the destination on the day of departure he wasn't very happy, but we were right in the end as he absolutely loved it and declared that he'd go back!

I love my community...

... I'm a member of the Zonta Club of Hawke's Bay working to improve the status of women worldwide and locally. I belong to a Bookclub, which is fun and I've also been a member of the Napier community for a long time with children participating in school and sporting activities so I have many friends and contacts in the community.
